The basic installation of the Alarm Control Center (ACC) already offers you many options for increasing the availability of the alarm. For applications in which the reliability of the alarm management must be very high, the Alarm Control Center can also be set up redundantly. The channels of the Alarm Control Center establish the connection to the local telephone system, the push service on the Internet, the SMS terminal and many other systems in order to forward messages to the correct recipients.
\nIn the Alarm Control Center it is possible to create several channels for the same communication infrastructure.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/span>

For example, if an SMS terminal in the first building fails due to a power failure, there is still the SMS terminal in the second building, which can be addressed by the Alarm Control Center.<\/p>\n

This happens fully automatically and without the user having to intervene. As soon as the SMS terminal in the first building is available again, this will of course be recognized by the Alarm Control Center and used again.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, many control systems themselves already have the necessary fail-safety. This is usually made possible by a second, identical process control system. If one system fails or it has to be shut down due to maintenance, the other system takes over fully automatically.<\/p>\n

Our agents can also be designed redundantly for just this kind of case. As soon as the control system, which previously acted as the \u201cmaster\u201d, is no longer functional, the agent becomes active on the redundant partner and reliably sends the messages from there to the responsible staff.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>

Once a message has been successfully received by the core system, the Alarm Control Center aims to deliver this message to the recipient - come what may. There are various mechanisms that guarantee this.<\/p>\n

A queue in front of each module makes it possible to record a large number of messages in a short time, to save them temporarily and, if necessary, to persist them in the database. Even restarting the computer is then no longer a problem, because the alarm can simply be continued.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/span>

Another component, the so-called router, is located in front of the channels and decides which message is sent over which channel. The channels inform the router of their status. In this way, it is possible to react quickly to a failure of a channel.<\/p>\n

The router also has a queue: If a channel is not available, the messages are saved and sent as soon as the channel is available again. Even if a problem occurs while sending an SMS, for example, the channel sends the message back to the router and it can be redistributed.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>

If you want to increase the reliability many times over and simultaneously achieve load distribution when receivinga high number of messages, the Alarm Control Center can also be set up redundantly.<\/p>\n

The mechanisms described above can be used to address a second Alarm Control Center at a different location and thus increase availability.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/span>

If a system cannot be reached by the agents in the control systems, the messages are sent via the redundant Alarm Control Center. If a channel is currently in a state in which it cannot process any messages, the message is also forwarded to the redundant ACC. This can happen fully automatically, for example, if the telephone system is busy or the SMS terminal is not available.<\/p>\n
