In order to ensure reliable transmission of alarms from the production control system to the end device, we update the software version of our Alarm Control Center every year.
This means that a new version of our alarm management solution is available to you every year. Each version contains numerous new features and optimizations that further improve the general user-friendliness and the scope of the Alarm Control Center.
In addition, the new versions are compatible with the current control system versions as well as the versions of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft SQL Server.
As of version V22, the basic functions of the monitoring option are included in the scope of delivery of every ACC. In addition, the option has been expanded to include additional features.
This provides you with an intuitive and clear interface for configuring and displaying the runtime data. For this purpose, the entire alarm path can now be fully monitored - from the PLC to the end device. Cyclic tests check the availability of control systems, agents, channels, the telecommunications infrastructure and all other ACC components. If irregularities occur, the administrators are notified immediately.
Greater convenience leads to greater user acceptance, and automated settings to greater efficiency in alarm management.
For ACC V22 we have integrated further new features into our apps for iOS and Android. The participant status can now be automatically reset to present after a configurable time interval. Thus, e.g. after a meeting, the employee receives the messages on his smartphone automatically again without having to set the participant status manually.
In addition, the apps have been expanded to include the function that contact persons for plants / systems can be displayed and contacted in the app. The password can now also be reset by the user directly in the app. Man-in-the-middle protection also protects the apps from external attacks and enables them to be used even more securely.
The function that messages can be accepted or rejected directly in the push notification has also been optimized. This is quick and it is no longer necessary to open the message in the app. With the Apple Watch, you can now accept or reject the message directly on your watch.
Everything in view. The dashboard, with its simple and clearly laid out user interface, is the start page of the ACC.
The varied information about the ACC is shown transparently in individual widgets. The dashboard has now been expanded with the V22. The newly developed channel and agent widgets show the alarms for the last 8 or 24 hours per channel or agent. The newly added performance widget provides information on the current utilization of hard disk, CPU and RAM.
Cooperation with the Swiss telecommunications company Swisscom.
As of version V22, the eAlarm alarm service from Swisscom AG can be connected to the ACC using the Swisscom eAlarm channel. With eAlarm, emergency services and employees can be alerted and notified quickly, easily and safely. The new channel enables messages to be sent to pagers, by e-mail or by SMS via the network of the Swiss provider.
The OPC Unified Architecture is a platform-independent, service-oriented architecture. It integrates the functionality of the previous OPC Classic standard in an expandable framework. The previous agent in the ACC for this standard made it possible to read out the necessary data such as message text or alarm group from the OPC server and then use it for the alarm.
ACC V22 now has an extended ACC user interface to easily transfer existing connections with the OPC-DA standard to the new world. This means that the existing configuration of an OPC-DA agent in Excel can simply be transferred to the Excel template of the OPC-UA agent and imported directly using an import function. The OPC UA agent supports all common OPC UA security mechanisms and is integrated in the new monitoring option.
The team dispo option is used to display and manage participants in service teams. Participants can be activated or deactivated for each shift using a matrix by checking and unchecking a service team. For an optimized display and easier handling, the option has been expanded to include additional functions in the new version ACC V22.
The "Description" and "Status" columns can now be hidden as required and the column height can be varied flexibly. The option also offers an improved tooltip and is generally displayed in the clearly arranged “Compact” theme.
