ReferenceInitial connection of new data centers and integration into existing control technologyTo expand its capacities, a customer has put two new data centers into operation at another location. We were commissioned with the connection of the building technology and the infrastructure facilities as well as the integration into an existing control system.The technical building infrastructure of the data centers not only includes the air conditioning systems on an industrial scale, but also supply and exhaust air systems, circulating air cooling devices and cooling devices within the server racks (in-row-coolers). It also includes power distributors within the racks, voltage and consumption meters and uninterruptible power supplies. We connected all of these units to the control system. In consultation with the suppliers and operators, the required data points were determined, records parameterized and alarms set up for critical operating values. The expansion of the existing visualization by two independently operable menu items, with the aid of which the state of the new systems can be called up directly, as well as setting up new users, including their training in cooperation with the operator rounded off the successful conclusion of the project.Data center failure can cause economic damage. It was not just the initialization of the system that was important for this assignment. A wide range of services that we provide is one of the decisive factors for a permanently functioning data center.That is why we do not leave the customer alone even after the project phase.
